How To Get There

Seefeld in Tirol can be easily reached from Innsbruck and Munich by different means of transportation.

Arrival from Innsbruck

  • By Train: There are frequent trains to Seefeld leaving from Innsbruck main station (Hauptbahnhof). The journey takes approximately half an hour and the price is about 7€. For details on the timetable, check the Austrian railway webpage. To go from the airport to the main station take bus "F", which has a stop right outside the main terminal (2.80€ for the bus).
  • By Taxi:: A taxi from Innsbruck (e.g. airport or train station) to Seefeld should cost approximately 45€. There are taxi stops but they can also be arranged by phone +43 512 5311.

Arrival from Munich

  • By Train: The regional train (RB service) from Munich main station (Hauptbahnhof) to Innsbruck main station has a stop in Seefeld. The journey takes a bit more than 2 hours; tickets cost approximately 40€. This line usually departs from Munich every two hours starting from approximately 7:30 to 17:30. To get to Munich main station from Munich airport, take the S1 or S8 train, approximately 13€, (S-Bahn), both of which run frequently (approximately every 20min). Tickets for the RB service can be purchased online from the German railway webpage or equivalently at the ticket machines of Munich airport (a combo ticket including the ticket for the S-Bahn can be purchased at Munich airport).
  • By Shuttle: Four Seasons Travel can pick you up at the airport in Munich and transfer you directly to any place in Tyrol (e.g. your hotel in Seefeld). The price is 74€ for a one-way transfer and 148€ for a roundtrip.
  • By Bus: There is a bus service with FlixBus that goes to Innsbruck main station that stops at Seefeld. Buses run from roughly 9:00 to 21:00 every two hours and the trip takes approximately 2hrs and 45 minutes. Tickets cost approximately 20€ and can be purchased at FlixBus.

Seefeld is a small town which can easily be explored on foot. Hotel Schönruh is just a few minutes walking distance from the train station (map).
